Admission
All prospective firms will be required to follow the Center’s admission process. This process provides incentive to enter the market with the product/service as early as possible. The method helps companies move through the business development process quickly and efficiently without stops and starts. A “sink or swim” philosophy encourages a business to work through the typical business problems, rather than be held back by them.
The Center provides guidance from business managers and experienced business owners to assist a business as it grows. The use of proven, standard tools and techniques helps produce products and meet business requirements. The Center ensures that the businesses in the program are focused and mature enough to develop into sustainable, ongoing concerns.
The following requirements are used as a baseline.
- Be able to bring a product/service to commercial market in 36 months or less.
- Have the potential to “go alone” without Center assistance within 36 months.
- Have a plan to grow and sustain your growth rate during tenancy at the Center.
- Maintain procedures to generate bi-annual profit and loss statements to be reviewed by the Center Business Manager
- Plan to locate in Lorain County upon graduation.
- Sign a lease agreement if requesting space at the Center.
